Walk Alone

People come into your life for a reason,
a moment, a year, a lifetime, who knows.
but with everyone you meet a lesson will be learned but not everyone’s meant to stay and walk beside you.
sometimes you’ve gotta walk alone.
Though I know it’s true, still I put all my hopes and dreams into you.
Cos you came to my life and you knocked down all the walls in front of me.
Oh now teacher, I’m sorry to stand, but you don’t even know the answer in your hand.
Oh, I’ll go, but you’ll never know.
That you made me the best addition I could ever be and you’ll never know
Cos you showed me to just relax and trust in what I see and how love can be.
But you taught you taught by default. A diligent heart afraid of whats unknown.
All of that freedom, all of that love. We built it up high and now its burnt/torn to the ground.
And though I’m here calling, I’m calling out your name, and though I’m calling I
know things can’t stay the same. And though I know fairytales are what you read
at night and though I know I can’t change the hands of time. Still I thought, I
would have sung with you. Just one last time.
People come into your life for a reason, but not everyones meant to stay and walk beside you.
sometimes you’ve gotta walk alone.
